Rivr is a macOS app that transfers photos, videos and files from iOS devices (iPhone/iPad) directly to your Mac. Rivr operates fully locally — no data is sent to servers, cloud services or third parties.
Rivr only processes data residing on the connected iOS device (photos, videos, metadata such as filename, size, creation date). This data is transferred directly from device to Mac and is never sent to external servers.
All transfers happen over a direct USB connection between iOS device and Mac. No internet transmission occurs. Rivr does not require an internet connection for its core functionality.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Rivr has no access to payment data. Apple's privacy policies apply to that data.
Rivr uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to manage subscription state. RevenueCat processes anonymized purchase data (subscription status, purchase timestamp, platform). No personally identifiable information such as name or email is transmitted to RevenueCat. More info: RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Rivr uses no analytics tools, no trackers and no telemetry. No usage data is collected.
If the user enables "Delete from device after transfer", the transferred files are removed from the iOS device after a successful transfer. This requires explicit confirmation and is irreversible.
